Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization Program Information Sessions

The McMaster University Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization Program is an interdisciplinary program offering an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, and a one-year, professional, course-based Master of Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization degree in the study of biomedical sciences and business.

The Undergraduate Program

A level 3 entry program that offers advanced training in the biomedical sciences complemented by fundamental business training.  It’s designed for students who have a passion for science and an interest in business. This multidisciplinary training program equips its graduates with strong discovery research skills, business acumen, and a meaningful experiential connection to the Health Sciences sector.

Students apply to the program after completing at least two years of university coursework.  Second degree and international students are also eligible to apply.  The application deadline for Fall 2021 is February 1st, 2021 (https://bdcprogram-mcmaster.ca/apply-bdc-undergrad/).

A virtual information session for the undergraduate program will take place on Thursday, October 29th, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm via Zoom:

Students also develop career employability expertise before they commence a four to eight-month internship component in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health, and/or life sciences sectors.

Students that have a strong background in biomedical science (wet-lab research skills), as well as fundamental business training (marketing, finance, and accounting) are encouraged to apply.  The application deadline for Fall 2021 is January 18th, 2021 (https://bdcprogram-mcmaster.ca/apply-mbdc/).
